Helen Fafara is an account executive with P&G Professional and an active member in NHLA. Let’s learn more about her.
Helen, you have been involved in NHLA and Women in Lodging for a little while now. Tell us about your company and what you do.
I am the Account Executive for Procter and Gamble Professional for Southern Nevada. It is the commercial/industrial side of P&G. We supply housekeeping, janitorial, laundry, kitchen to Hospitality establishments, trusted brands like Tide, Dawn, Cascade, Microban 24 and Febreze professional versions, these are a few of our portfolio of products. I also coordinate Las Vegas events and tradeshows for P&G.
What do you find most valuable in the membership?
Learning and friendship via meeting hospitality like-minded professionals, the in-person events even with the challenging times, is still essential to connect and network while following healthy and safety protocols
Why should other NHLA female members get involved in WIL?
Women have different terrains in the industry, however the common experience we share are still more relatable to our targeted professional development. Joining WIL promotes growth, relationships and major boost on self-empowerment
If money was not a factor, what would be your ultimate vacation?
Time correlates to luxury for me and my ultimate vacation is both International Outreach missions to West Africa followed by a three-week immersive cultural vacation in Spain (Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia)
What is your favorite quote?
Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible. – The 14th Dalai Lama
