NHLA will host a Northern Nevada member luncheon on August 24 at the Atlantis. Special guest presenter will be Michele Kline, Owner of Kline Hospitality Consulting. Michele will discuss the challenges of a generational diverse workforce.

In today’s diverse workforce, there is a full array of people of all ages. The Millennials have made a mark in the workplace with a fast-paced presence, quick thinking, a new perspective and a dependence on technology.
Baby boomers have years of experience and a deep-rooted solid work ethic. Each generation in between has their own beliefs and work practices, all very different from each other.
Generational differences and best practices
Companies need all generations and ages of workers to create and maintain a robust, energetic and experienced workforce. How does management deal effectively with so many different beliefs and work practices?

Understanding what each generation brings to the table is critical. How were they raised? What work ethics do they have established? What type of schedule do they prefer? What is important in their personal lives that the work schedule can impact? What level of education does each worker have? What part does technology play in their lives?
Once there is a solid understanding of expectations from each generation, the easier it will be to manage the teams.

Michele Kline has several year of experience in high level operations and management positions. She is an expert at brand standard audits, coaching, providing process improvement and training.
Join us at the Atlantis on August 24 at 11:30 a.m. for a member luncheon. Meet Michele and hear her best practices for working with a generational diverse workforce.
