Heidi is the Senior Manager – Group Hospitality Services at the Venetian Resort Las Vegas. We had a chance to speak with Heidi and learn more about her.
Heidi, how long have you been with the Venetian?
I’ve been at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas for more than 15 years. I’ve been in my current role as Senior Manager of Group Hospitality Services for almost 6 months.
Tell us what your job entails and what you like best about it.
The Group Hospitality Services team partners with group clients and guests to plan every detail of their hospitality event in our suites and unique venues throughout the resort. The Hospitality team helps clients navigate our resort throughout the planning process and partners closely with many areas of the property including In Suite Dining, Celebrations, Audio Visual & Floral, in addition to Hotel Operations to execute business meetings, social gatherings, weddings, receptions and more. I oversee the day-to-day operation and support my team with events, projects, and any ad hoc requests. I like that each day, week, month can be different, and I’m constantly learning something new.
We would love to learn something unique about you. Can you share something interesting or fun with us?
I love learning something new and giving back. I’ve supported the UNLV Golf Clinics (WIL/NHLA) for three seasons. I’m still working on that swing! I also volunteer regularly with ‘The Just One Project’ pop-up and give mobile market as well other volunteer events our CSR team coordinates.
What is your favorite quote and why do you like it?
One of my favorite quotes is, “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.” -Henry Ford. When I first heard this quote, I thought to myself, that’s so true! It’s a reminder that what we think is integral to how we grow and attain our goals!
