Janice Tanaka, PHR, SHRM-CP is the Sr. Regional Manager of Talent Development for Hilton Grand Vacations. In her role, she executes Global and Regional business objectives and priorities that drive Talent Development and the Spirit of Service.

Janice is an accomplished HR and L&D professional with over 15 years of experience in varying industries including hospitality, manufacturing, sales and public service. With Janice’s dynamic, engaging and motivating style, she’s empowered hundreds of employees and leaders through personal and professional development workshops, coaching and speaking engagements.
She enjoys karaoke singing, dancing, yoga, food and travel. Born and raised in New York City, NY and most recently, lived in Honolulu, HI, Janice and her family now reside here in Las Vegas, NV. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Relations in Organizations and Minor Certificate in Speech Communications from the University of Hawaii, Manoa.
Janice shares her passion to give back
As Chairperson for the Nevada Hotel & Lodging Association – NRG, she acts as an advocate for emerging leaders choosing to make an impact in our industry through connection and community. She is also a Faculty Member for The International School of Hospitality.

NHLA President Diane Gandy asked Janice to share her insight as to why NHLA young professionals should participate in NRG. Janice states, “Great leaders master the art of networking. Networking is more than just meeting people that can help take you places. It’s a chance to expand our connections and put our thumbprint on the differences we can make in Hospitality. NRG NHLA gives our members the gateway to network with some of the greatest in our industry, opportunity to grow our craft and careers and the ability to give back to our Community.”
As a Certified Speaker, Coach and Trainer for the John Maxwell Team, and Creator of Calm, Cool and Confident, Janice volunteers coaching, workshops and speaking engagements geared to empower women leaders.
