Women in Lodging mentor summer session kicked off July 7
The Women in Lodging mentor program is a popular and productive activity for WIL members. Two sessions are offered annually, one in July and one in January. The summer session began yesterday for a duration of 12 weeks and has 30 participants.
The mission of the WIL Mentor Program is to provide members with the opportunity to meet industry professionals who want to share their experience, knowledge and guidance.
Mentees consist of individuals either experienced or brand new to the industry interested in exploring career growth and opportunities. The WIL mentor program pairs mentors and mentees together according to areas of interest and experience.
The next WIL mentor session will begin in January, 2017.
Social Media Reputation Management seminar in Reno
On July 14, a seminar featuring techniques for social media reputation management will be held in Reno. Predictive Leadership Solutions presents H.R. webinar
On July 14, NHLA member Predictive Leadership Solutions will present a webinar discussing drug testing in the employment process. With many laws pertaining to this area, the webinar content will address correct processes and best practices. Attending the webinar is free for NHLA members. Register.

Supporting Dress for Success Southern Nevada, NHLA and WIL members will be participating in the Power Walk on July 16. The event takes place at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood. Walk as an individual or a team. A pre- and post – party will be hosted by Drybar. Proceeds benefit DFS Southern Nevada. Join us for a fun morning.

Let’s roll and bowl as an industry
The 2016 annual Hospitality Bowling Tournament will take place July 27 at The Orleans bowling center. The Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association and the Nevada Restaurant Association will present the event with proceeds benefiting The Shade Tree shelter for abused women, children and pets.
