David Sharp is a whirlwind of activity. Director of Business Development for GoSpace, President of the 501 (c)(3) Harrison House Las Vegas, Member and participant in the Clean Energy Project, Clean Cities, Green Alliance, Nevada Electric Vehicle Accelerator, USGBC, and others. Dave lives to make a difference.
David started his professional career in the Food Service Industry. After high school, Dave spent 5 years as a cook in fine dining restaurants in Virginia. Earning an Associate’s Degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management during this period. Dave then spent 5 years as an Assistant Manager for Marriott’s In-Flight Kitchens at Washington National and Dulles International Airports, and Bob’s Big Boy Restaurant Division. Says David, “Marriott’s Management training Program was instrumental in my professional development. It gave me a solid management skillset that was the foundation for my entire career”.

David left the Food Industry in 1980 to launch a 20 year career in Telecommunications where he earned an Associates degree in Information Systems, a B.A. in Management, and a M.S. Certificate in Project Management. During this period, Dave moved from Computer Operations to Configuration Management, Software & Systems Quality Assurance, System Engineering, and Project/Program Management maintaining Sprint’s Service Quality Assurance for the Global Data Network. As a System Engineer, Dave installed and maintained Email systems in China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Poland, Mexico, Armenia, Brazil, and India.
Welcome to Las Vegas
Dave left the Telecom Industry in 2001 and moved to Las Vegas to care for his mom. Since 2001 Dave has owned a restaurant that was awarded a Gold Medal from the American Culinary Society, was a Financial Analyst, Mortgage Loan Officer, and Independent Business Consultant focusing on green technologies. Dave’s travels have led to his vocation as an advocate for change to ensure a sustainable future for generations to come. For 2 years Dave has worked with the Ward 5 Chamber of Commerce to promote economic development in Las Vegas’ West Side.


Dave is a founding member of the org Harrison House Las Vegas, dedicated to restoring the Historic Harrison House, home away from home for Sammy Davis Jr., Pearl Bailey, and other prominent African Americans. In his spare time, he likes to make music with his friends and has been known to frequent events with the Las Vegas Blues Society.
David serves as Chairperson of the NHLA Sustainability Committee
Dave’s passion for sustainability led him to be appointed as the 1st Chairperson of the NHLA Sustainability Committee. Dave has been a promoter of commercial building and residence efficiency and sustainable technologies since 2008. Since 2013 he has been involved with the implementation of commercial Electric Vehicle Chargers and advocating for society’s transition to electric transportation. Dave’s company, GoSpace was instrumental installing a Fast EV Charger for Tahiti Village. Dave feels privileged to help educate the NHLA members about the economic and ecologic benefits of technologies that are changing the way we work and live.
