The Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association recently held the Q1 new NHLA committee meetings. As a result of the great leadership through the participants, many new ideas and programs will be implemented this year for our members.
Several new NHLA committees have been created and missions established. Members of the committees come from various hotel and allied member companies and have a broad level of experience and expertise in the related areas. Resources as provided through the committees will be extremely valuable for our members.

Ambassadors Circle
Chairperson: Ronna Timpa, Workplace ESL
The Ambassadors Circle exists to welcome new members and work with all members to ensure they are informed of all the benefits available through NHLA membership. Ambassador Circle participants will communicate directly with members and assist them in utilizing association benefits to their greatest advantage.
Education Committee
Chairperson: Diane Gandy, NHLA
The Education Committee will assist in guiding NHLA in providing educational resources, activities, seminars, webinars, industry programs, certifications and other related information for NHLA members.
Safety and Security Committee
Chairperson: Rich Ingling, Soleil Management
The Safety and Security Committee will guide NHLA in providing information, updates, alerts, legislative information, news, resources and education for members.

Social Media Committee
Chairperson: Derek Schoen, Aria, Vdara and The Shops at Crystals
The Social Media Committee will guide NHLA in providing information for posts, new social trends, campaigns, resources, education and engagement initiatives.
Sustainability Committee
Chairperson: David Sharp, GoSpace
The mission is to promote sustainability, efficiency, communication, education and environmental practices in today’s Hospitality Industry.
Next Reigning Generation
The NRG Committee works to engage industry professionals in the Nevada hospitality and support industries through the development of unique local resources including networking, mentorship, philanthropic and educational opportunities.
