NHLA is pleased to announce that Jeff Pearson, General Manager of the Hilton Garden Inn in Reno, has rejoined the Nevada Hotel & Lodging Association Board of Directors. Jeff has been in his current position with the Hilton Garden Inn since June of 2015. He previously spent a number of years on the NHLA Board of Directors and also served in the capacity of Treasurer for the trade association.
Jeff started his hospitality career at age 11 when his parents purchased a motel and restaurant on the West shore of Lake Tahoe. From an early age he was cleaning rooms, bussing tables, washing dishes, and learning about the business. With the hospitality bug, he decided to attend The University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration.
Impressive resort management experience
Jeff has experience in the resort side of the business having served as the Regional Director of Resort Operations for Diamond Resorts International, overseeing properties in Estes Park, Colorado, Lake Tahoe, California, Palm Springs, California, Maui, Hawaii, and Kauai, Hawaii. His properties received the Best Beach Resort at the Ka’anapali Beach Club, and Best ski Resort at the Lake Tahoe Vacation Resort from Resort Time Magazine. He also has brand experience from Wyndham and his current position with Hilton.
Jeff enjoys time with the family
In his off time, Jeff likes to spend time with his wife Andrea and children, Brittany, Christina, and Jack.
“We are so fortunate to have Jeff on our NHLA Board of Directors,” states Diane Gandy, NHLA President. “He brings a wealth of experience in the industry to us and is a true leader. We are looking forward to working with him in 2016 in bringing benefits and value to our Northern Nevada members through Jeff’s guidance.”
