The Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association in partnership with the Timothy S Y Lam Foundation launched the Certified Guest Service Professional program for our members this year. The certification program recognizes the skills and expertise of professionals in our industry. The 2019 CGSP program has been scheduled.
The Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP) designation is accredited through the American Hotel and Lodging Association Educational Institute. In order to participate in a certification program, interested parties must successfully complete the examination.
TISOH Supports NHLA Programs

The International School of Hospitality provided the classroom facilities and the instructor, Anthony Lai, for our Southern Nevada CGSP workshops and exam sessions this year. Two sessions were held in Las Vegas and one session was held in Reno at the Atlantis. We have over 100 members who have taken the course and passed the exam.
By becoming a CGSP, professionals show their commitment to guest service and ongoing professional development. Each participant passing the exam receives a certificate and a lapel pin. The certificate impresses supervisors, opens the door for career advancement and can be included on resumes.
