NHLA Women in Lodging is launching the new Read to Lead Book Club on January 15, 2019. The book club is open to all WIL members and will focus on leadership development books that are relevant for today’s busy leaders.

The new Read to Lead Book Club will offer NHLA WIL members the opportunity to be part of a small group of women interested in leadership development. The books we read will all pertain to leadership development from various authors and topics. The book club will create the environment to expand our circles of professional contacts and friends as we read and discuss the content in a friendly, social setting. We will look at how some of the information in the books can help guide us in our professional and personal lives when it come so to leadership.

The club sessions will each consist of 6 weeks with an initial meeting where we meet the session host and participants, learn what book we will be reading and network in a happy hour setting. There will be a mid-session get together at 3 weeks and a final club gathering at the end of 6 weeks. Each will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. and end at 7:00 p.m.

For each session we will have a host who chooses the book to read, sets the locations to meet and advises the members of the details. She will help facilitate each meeting’s discussions, as well.
