Dress for Success (DFS) NNV in Reno is hosting an event for our NNV members on November 16 giving them a fun opportunity to network and shop ‘til they drop at DFS!
The Shampagne (not a spelling error) and Shop for Success event will feature dozens and dozens of items such as clothing, shoes and accessories at rock bottom prices. With the holiday season in full swing, what a great chance to find that perfect outfit or some wonderful stocking stuffers at the Dress for Success boutique.
The event will take place at the new Dress for Success boutique located at 2295 South Virginia St, suite 10. It will begin at 5:30 p.m. All NHLA members and guests are invited to attend. Come and have a drink with us and shop, shop, shop. Register.
Proceeds from the event benefit Dress for Success, a non-profit charity that supports empowering women to achieve economic independence. The entity provides a network of support, work attire, resources and tools to help women feel comfortable and thrive.
The Northern Nevada operation is an affiliate of the Dress for Success Worldwide organization. The entity is led by founder, Patti Pietsch Weiske. A group of about 70 volunteers work tirelessly to ensure women are served in the community.
NHLA president, Diane Gandy, was a founding board member a few years ago and served on the board for 3 years as the operation opened and grew. “It is so heart-warming to see the success of this wonderful organization. Patti and her team are just amazing! They are creative, hard-working and compassionate. Reno is so fortunate to have these leaders and this important organization to serve the women in the community,” states Diane, “and we are thrilled to support where we can.”
