The Nevada Hotel and Lodging Foundation was established in 2018 and exists to serve our industry in providing scholarships for students interested in furthering their careers through college classes, degrees, diploma programs and continuing education opportunities.
The founding board of trustees of the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Foundation has appointed committee board chair members for the purpose of concentrated focus on fundraising, scholarships, mentoring, communications and events.
Foundation committee board chair members have been appointed as follows:

John Carpenter, Glass Box Group
Timothy Lam, The International School of Hospitality
Debbie Ngai, Vdara
Each of these new board members will oversee an area within the foundation under the guidance of the trustees. Individually they each bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the foundation and collectively will be instrumental in helping strengthen and grow the entity.

The Nevada Hotel and Lodging Foundation provides educational, certification and training program scholarship. Education scholarships for Nevada higher education colleges offering hospitality-related degrees include UNLV, UNR, CSN and Truckee Meadows Community College.
The foundation also provides scholarships for certificate and training programs offered at accredited educational institutes that provide leadership development, career enhancement and related education pertinent to advancement in the hospitality industry.
