NHLA Women in Lodging continues to be a robust division within the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association. NHLA has presented dozens of WIL activities this year and we still have many more for the remainder of 2017.
On September 12, the summer session for SNV NHLA WIL mentor program will conclude. 26 women participated in this session and feedback has been incredibly positive. Pairing leading women in various industry fields with women looking to advance their careers or explore other areas is a valuable benefit of being a member of NHLA WIL.

NNV WIL mentor registration open
The next NHLA WIL mentor session will begin on October 5 in NNV. Registration is open and all WIL members in Reno and surrounding areas are encouraged to participate. The experience is productive and meaningful for everyone.
Let’s recognize our outstanding WIL members
The Stars of the Industry hosted by NHLA for the past 7 years will take place on October 26 at Aria. The event is viewed as the most prestigious industry awards gala in Nevada. Nominees are honored throughout the evening and recipients receive awards from leading executives in the business.
Nominations are sent in for various categories, one of those categories being Outstanding Women in Lodging Member. Be sure to nominate WIL members who are exemplary in leading the group. Let’s recognize our outstanding women! Nominations accepted through September 28.

On November 15, WIL members are invited to attend a fun social event hosted by the Venetian. Professional Table Etiquette will be presented by the fabulous butler team at Venetian. We all know what fork to use or do we? What about all those glasses, small plates, and myriad utensils? On December 13, WIL members are invited to attend a fun social event hosted by YSL Beauty & Saks 5th Avenue at the Fashion Show Mall. Champagne and make-up trends will be part of the fun. WIL members attend free.
The end of a busy year for NHLA WIL
This will conclude a very busy and productive year for NHLA WIL members. Our WIL division under the leadership of NHLA president Diane Gandy is guided by a council of professional women, leaders in our industry.
