Camping adventures await

Mtn camp site

Camping facilities are available at Lee Canyon. The Ponderosa pines tower over the natural setting providing beauty and shade. Setting up camp and enjoying the great outdoors is a favorite pastime for Las Vegas residents.

Wildlife everywhere in Lee Canyon

Wildlife in the Lee Canyon area such as coyotes, rabbits, deer, elk, eagles and owls can often be observed. Watch for the wildlife on the roads as they frequently hover roadside or cross over.

Robbers Roost at Lee Canyon

With a fascinating legend attached, Robbers Roost is a fun spot to explore. It is believed that robbers from many centuries ago hid out in the cave which is found about half a mile up the mountain from the road. Hiking up to the cave is easy and a fun experience. Let your imagination run wild!

In the winter Lee Canyon can become a ski resort for ski enthusiasts. Yes, just an hour outside of the Las Vegas desert, residents and visitors can enjoy the frequent snowfall in the winter. Ski, snowboard, or build a snowman. Be sure to take a picture as your friends won’t believe you are in the desert region of Southern Nevada and playing in the snow.
