April 4, NRG will host a social at the Rio in partnership with Roxx Vodka. Roxx Vodka is providing a hosted bar for the 2016 NCAA Men’s Final Four Viewing Event beginning at 6:00 p.m. Sign up for this exciting event.
Redefining Efficiency in the Kitchen
A free Commercial Kitchen Workshop will be held on April 4 from at the Springs Preserve from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Interested participants can learn how to redefine energy efficiency and water conservation in your kitchen. Practical tips will be offered at this event hosted by Southern Nevada Water Authority, Southwest Gas, NV Energy and Business Environmental Program Nevada. Register to attend.
NHLA events in Reno

NHLA Member Internet Marketing, Inc. will present a seminar on April 12 at the Atlantis in Reno titled “Telling your Brand’s Story” and will focus on using various content in your branding such as video, infographic, blog, motion graphics, contests and more. Applications include native, ad, on-site and outdoor. Professional photographer Shay Velich from Shay Velich Studio will present do’s and don’ts in commercial photography, too. April 12 the Reno Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority will host the NHLA member social at the Stadium Club. Executive Director Jennifer Cunningham will be the guest presenter at the social. Register to attend now.
Sustainability Committee to Tour Shade Tree
On April 21 the NHLA Sustainability committee will tour The Shade Tree and offer guidance and advice on improving efficiency along with other cost-savings ideas. Any NHLA member interested in joining this dynamic and progressive committee should contact us.

April Women in Lodging Luncheon and Donation Drive
The Q2 Women in Lodging luncheon will be held at the Orleans on April 26. Cathy Tull, Senior Vice President of Marketing at the LVCVA, will be the special guest presenter. A drive to support the Dress for Success Southern Nevada organization will be part of the activities. Accessories and dress shoes are needed at Dress for Success as they continue to help women meet the challenges of getting into the workforce.
