Join us for a dynamic and interactive Women in Lodging leadership conference on April 25 as women leaders from across the state and industry present important topics for professional development, leadership and career growth.
Our Women in Lodging division of the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association launched in 2015 with a founding council of 6. Since that time, we have grown to nearly 200 members and have many activities and resources for our members. The mentor program has over 175 participants since its inception; we have offered dozens of seminars, professional development opportunities, philanthropic support and networking events.
Our newest feature is our NHLA WIL conference. The event will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the morning session including several engaging and highly successful leaders.
Negotiating 101

Do you ever find it difficult to negotiate? We negotiate all day whether it is in our workplace, our home life, with our kids, when making purchases, and in many other scenarios. Our Negotiating 101 segment presented by Karen Betz, Chief Customer Officer with the prestigious Dale Carnegie of Nevada company, will give attendees tips and proven strategies to negotiate successfully.
Understanding Generational Diversity

Baby boomers, generations X and Y, millennials… our workplace is diverse and complex. Understanding the expectations of each generation and the best ways to motivate and manage effectively will increase employee retention and job satisfaction. Michele Kline, Kline Consulting, will present historical information on generations in an entertaining and fun way while she gives us successful ideas on managing the diversity we find in our many levels of generations today.
