A broad range of industry suppliers participate in the event as sponsors or booth hosts. NHLA 2024 committees

The team at NHLA encourages our members to join one of our committees for 2024. Each committee meets quarterly for one hour and helps to guide the relevant activities of each committee's area. By participating on a committee, our members have the opportunity to bring new ideas and activities to our members, meet new people from the hospitality industry, help us ensure our efforts are worthwhile for our members and provide helpful resources. We also have a lot of fun!

Here are the committees (some are new for 2024) we have that are open to any of our NHLA members:

Emerging Leaders Council- typically comprised of industry professionals under 40, this group, under the guidance of the NHLA staff, exists to engage up-and-coming professionals in the Nevada hospitality and support industries through the development of local resources including networking, mentorship, philanthropic and educational opportunities.

Women in Lodging Council- NHLA Women in Lodging provides the ideal forum to promote women's leadership as well as professional career development. NHLA Women in Lodging offers specially designed and relevant activities including seminars, workshops, networking events, community philanthropic involvement, and access to female industry leaders.

Clean and Green (housekeeping and sustainability)- promotes best practices in housekeeping and sustainability, efficiency, communication, education and environmental practices in today's Hospitality Industry. Focus is on best operational practices to reduce costs while increasing guest satisfaction. Committee assists in coordinating the annual related conference.

Technology-serves our members by ensuring new industry trends, technologies, current issues, and resources are made available to all of our members.

Nevada Hotel and Lodging Foundation-all proceeds from our signature Great Chef Run 5K benefit our scholarship program.
  • Great Chef Run
  • Fundraising
NHLA volunteer committee-new committee (we have openings for co-chairs and volunteers) that will help NLHA team put together a list of member volunteers who would like to assist with events such as our golf tournament, bowling tournament, Stars of the Industry and other activities as needed. The NHLA events are fun, fast-paced and our volunteers have the opportunity to assist in many areas as well as be present at these events.

Small property resources committee- this committee assists the NHLA team in identifying and helping with resources for our smaller property and company members throughout the state. Most smaller properties do not have the full benefit of support departments; that's where this committee helps provide suggestions and assistance when needed.
