NHLA expands mentor program

The Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association provides a robust and productive award-winning mentor program each year. We are pleased to expand upon the program for 2026. In the past, we offered two separate mentor programs: One for our Emerging Leaders and one for our Women in Lodging. We had over 150 people participating in the mentor programs this year. In 2026, we will be providing one expanded mentor program open to any NHLA hotel team member.
The mission of the annual NHLA mentor program is to provide hotel team members with the opportunity to meet industry professionals who want to share their experience, knowledge and advice. Through the mentoring program mentees receive guidance and support as they explore career enhancement and advancement. The program is open to all members working within an NHLA member hotel. NHLA Behind the Scenes tours huge success

NHLA provides monthly Behind the Scenes tours for our members and hosted 14 events in partnership with our venues this year.
The purpose of the tours is to create awareness of the venues' products and services for our members to be able to describe, promote and utilize. The venue has the opportunity to showcase its specialties and accommodations and meet professionals in the hospitality industry.

Winter Water Restrictions in effect Nov 1- Feb 28, 2026

Message from SNWA: Be sure you have changed your watering clock. Winter mandatory watering restrictions are in effect from November through February. Water grass, plants and trees one day a week. That's all it takes. And don't forget, never water on Sunday. Not sure of your watering day? Check it out here.
