2025 NHLA Tech Conference underway

The NHLA tech conference is underway today with over 200 attendees. The event is filled with cutting-edge technology, sessions presented by industry experts, the Shark Pool, and is a day packed with valuable opportunities to make new contacts, learn about the latest greatest tech for the industry and have fun. A HUGE thank you to Shannon McCallum, Susan Ryan and the technology committee for designing, developing, managing and presenting one of the best industry tech events of the year.

Thank you to our amazing members who have volunteered to help with the annual Santa Run 5K taking place next weekend. With a sea of Santas running through the streets, our volunteers are there to welcome and assist.

Our famous Great Chef Run will take place March 21 and will return to the James Regional Park. Registration is open with early bird special pricing. Come and join in the fun and run, jog or walk our spectator friendly 5k course and enjoy a full range of activities and goodies throughout the morning. Learn more.

NHLA Mentor Program-registration begins January 5

NHLA has expanded our well-known mentor program to open to all hotel members. The mission of the annual NHLA mentor program is to provide hotel members with the opportunity to meet industry professionals who want to share their experience, knowledge and advice. Through the mentoring program mentees receive guidance and support as they explore career enhancement and advancement. The program is open to all hotel team members working within an NHLA member company. Participate as a mentor or mentee.

Join us and learn about the history of the mob

Come along with us on our Behind the Scenes tour on January 14 as we tour the Mob Museum. The Mob Museum presents hundreds of exhibits and artifacts that depict the impact that organized crime had on our society long ago. We will then move into the Distillery for a tasting session. The Distillery reflects on prohibition of liquor and how the mob smuggled and created alcohol to counteract illegal drinking. Don't miss this fun event! Register.
