Our 2025 Emerging Leaders mentor program has concluded. It was successful, fun and beneficial for the participants.  With 60 participants, the program was robust and productive for the members who took the time to either be a mentor or the mentees who had an opportunity to learn from exceptional leaders.

Rick Walter

The NHLA annual Emerging Leaders mentor program was led by Rick Walter, our mentor committee chair.  Celine Ngo and Yvette Corona assisted Rick as ambassadors for the group.  Each of these leaders oversaw a designated group of participants ensuring everyone was comfortable, enjoying the experience and staying on track.  We appreciate their involvement and leadership very much as it resulted in a worthwhile and successful program.

Our conclusion of the 10 week session was on May 19.  The participants  enjoyed snacks and networking upon arrival.  They received access to their certificates of completion to proudly post in social media and have in their work areas to show their commitment paid off.

Marcus LamMarcus Lam, TISOH, was on hand to take professional headshots for those looking to update.  Thank you, Marcus.

Our special guest, Dr. Sherrie Tennessee, presented great tips for maximizing LinkedIn profiles.  As LinkedIn is the most popular site for recruiters, those looking to build their careers and have opportunities for advancement should take her advice and update their profiles accordingly.

A big thank you to our mentors who are leaders in their companies with huge responsibilities and a heavy workload.  However, the mentors know how important it is to help our emerging leaders build and advance in their careers and are happy to work together in this program.

Be sure to check out the photos from the event on NHLA social channels.

Congratulations, everyone!  We hope you enjoyed being in the program as much as we enjoyed working with you.
