The Nevada Hotel and Lodging Foundation (NHLF) provides hospitality scholarship grants for NHLA members, their immediate family members and student members each year.  Major or program focus must be concentrated in the hotel, hospitality, or tourism industry degree, diploma or certificate.

The application submission window is open through August 3 to apply for a scholarship. No applications will be accepted after August 3.

To date, the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Foundation (NHLF) has granted $150,000 in scholarships for individuals looking to build their education and careers in hospitality.   Several entities are available to apply for one of our scholarships.  For those looking for education in colleges offering hospitality-related degrees, we offer scholarships for UNLV, UNR, CSN and TMCC.

Many people are interested in honing and enhancing their skills and credentials with diplomas or certificates.  NHLF provides scholarships for certificate and training programs offered at accredited educational institutes that provide leadership development, career enhancement and related education pertinent to advancement in the hospitality industry.  The International School of Hospitality (TISOH) is a strong partner in the hospitality community offering a full array of career-oriented programs.  The Culinary Academy of Las Vegas also provides a range of options for specific areas within the hotel industry.

The scholarship applications are reviewed by a committee designated by the Board of Directors and recipients are notified by mid-September.  A reception is held to congratulate the recipients and to distribute the scholarship checks.  Note: Scholarship funding is provided to the educational entity on behalf of the student applicant being granted the award.
