Do you feel you have great guest service skills? Are you able to ensure a memorable experience for each and every guest at your property? Then show it…obtain your CPGE certificate – Certified Professional in Guest Experience. The CPGE certification reflects commitment to exceptional hospitality and exemplary guest service skills. Add this prestigious honor to your credentials and join us on July 8 at TISOH for a fun class followed by the exam.
Our Women in Lodging members will have an opportunity to participate in the 2025 WIL mentor program beginning July 15. Mentors and mentees will meet at TISOH to receive an overview of the program and then have time to meet with their mentor partners to map out a plan that works for the individual pairings. The 10-week program pairs experienced leaders with women looking to explore the field of hospitality, gain experience, and consider career advancement. Sign up to participate as a mentor or mentee.
Do you own the room when you walk in? Many people are uncomfortable walking into a room of strangers or making presentations. Join us on July 23 at TISOH for this dynamic presentation by Michele Kline – you will own the room the next time you attend an event!
How are your Excel skills? Need a refresher? We’ve got you covered

Entering the world of AI – NHLA presents ChatGPT series
Beginning July 29, we will host a series of 3 virtual sessions as we dive into the ChatGPT AI application which is used globally for a wide range of purposes. Dr. Sherrie Tennessee, professor at UNLV, will teach introductory, intermediate and advanced sessions over a three week period. The classes will take place for 50 minutes at noon. Here is your chance to gain a better understanding of this powerful AI program and begin using it in your activities to make your life easier.
Bowling, friends and dogs…does it get any better? Join us for the biggest event of the summer!
Our annual bowling tournament will take place July 28 at the Gold Coast. We typically have about 100 NHLA people bowling and having a great time. NHLA donates the proceeds to Paw Partners Unleashed, a local Las Vegas organization supporting dog rescue entities. We play 2 games of bowling, enjoy pizza, snacks and beverages, and win fabulous prizes at the raffle. We award prizes for first, second and third place teams. You don’t have to be a great bowler…just come and have so much fun with colleagues and friends. Bring a bag of dog food to donate and receive your first raffle ticket…FREE.
Have a wonderful and safe 4th of July! (and don’t forget, most dogs are terrified of fireworks…be sure they are safe, protected from the sound of fireworks and comfy, too!)
